• 

  Wind Turbine Component Localization Project (Vestas Manufacturing Rus, LLC)

  Joint venture “Vestas Manufacturing Rus” was launched in December 2018. The company produces wind turbine composite blades using fiberglass and pultruded profiles (reinforcements) applying technology transferred by leading global wind turbine manufacturer Vestas.

  Under the Project the company manufactures 61.7-m long blades with 12.5 tons weight. By 2021, the annual output will reach 500 wind turbine blades.

  The production is sited in the territory of aviation cluster in Ulyanovsk. The blades are designed for wind turbines with 3.4 MW to 4.2 MW capacity.

  The volume of investments amounted to more than 2 billion rubles, 400 jobs were created. The company's participants are Vestas, RUSNANO, and the Ulyanovsk Region Investor Consortium, the part of which is Ulyanovsk nanocenter ULNANOTECH.
