FOR THE FIFTH YEAR ULNANOTECH HAS BEEN AMONG THE MOST EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGY PARKS IN RUSSIA

10 Nov 2020

According to the results of the VI National Rating of Technoparks of Russia 2020, published by the Association of Clusters and Technoparks of Russia, ULNANOTECH nanocenter entered the Group with the highest level of efficiency (A+). In total, 41 technology parks and nanotechnology centers from 23 regions entered the rating in 2020. The experts evaluated the best management practices and contribution to the development of the high-tech sector of the Russian economy.

In 2020, the rating methodology has changed, and the composition of the Expert Council has changed as well. The Expert Council members are the representatives of state authorities (RF State Duma, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation), development institutions, expert and business community (Industry Development Fund, Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of RUSNANO, SME Corporation, VEB.RF - State Corporation for the Development, Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Russian Export Center, Intel Corporation, etc.).

In 2020 technoparks have been evaluated using 20 indicators divided into 5 groups (sub-indices): S1 – “Innovation activity of technopark residents”, S2 – “Economic activity of technopark residents”, S3 – “Efficiency of the technopark management company”, S4 – “Investment attractiveness of the technopark” and S5 – “Information openness of the technopark and contribution to sustainable development”. The new methodology has changed the formula for calculating the financial stability of a technopark management company.

Based on the results of calculating the indicators, technoparks – participants of the rating have been divided into four groups: highest, high, moderately high and sufficient level of efficiency of a technopark.

The Association of Clusters and Technoparks of Russia
has been evaluating the effectiveness of technoparks since 2015. The pilot rating was prepared jointly with Intel Corporation as part of a strategic agreement on cooperation in the field of innovation support. Every year more and more technoparks take part in the rating, and its methodology, based on the principles of transparency and objectivity, continues to be improved with the participation of the expert community.
