Suppliers of Global Wind Turbine Manufacturer Joined the Supply Chain Event in Ulyanovsk Nanocenter ULNANOTECH

On the 7th of September,Vestas with support of ULNANOTECH Nanocenter and at its site welcomed existing and potential suppliers for the Vestas Supply Chain Event. The time of the event coincided with the signing of the investment agreement between the Ulyanovsk region and Vestas Wind Systems A/S for establishing of the first wind farm component production in both Ulyanovsk and Russia.

About 20 potential and existing suppliers from Russia, Finland and Turkey joined the Event. Its main goal is to find reliable partners, who share Vestas’s values and principles for long-term and successful cooperation.

Vestas representatives Peter König Overgaard, Senior Procurement Manager and Christopher Halling, Legal Director of Corporate&Finance delivered Vestas` standards and requirements to the participants at the Event.

Safety and reliability of production, high product quality, low production costs and joined efforts on innovations are Vestas`s key priorities and requirements -. The Company is sure that Russian suppliers have the best opportunities to enter the global supply chain.

A wind turbine blade factory is planned to be launched in Ulyanovsk by the middle of 2019 with 200 employees. Effective operation of the factory will be fully supported by Vestas.
